Who Are We
Burundi Development Solutions (BDS) is a non-profit, apolitical organization, officially recognized by Ministerial Order No. 530/1992 of October 26, 2016. BDS aims to be a key partner and active participant in the holistic development of Burundian society. To this end, it strives to support socio-economic development in various marginalized communities, enabling them to meet their basic human needs and improve their living conditions. To achieve its overall objectives, BDS conducts its activities through a variety of programs.
Our Mission
Transforming the lives of people living in poverty in Burundi by improving their physical, spiritual, and emotional health. BDS offers people the opportunity to participate in individual and collective projects that improve food security and promote a Christ-centered worldview.

Receiving Recognition: Certificate of Honor
BDS received a certificate of honor from the Commune Administrator on behalf of the Burundi government for our work to help communities to become self-sufficient – a second such award in three years.
The Burundian President visited the Giheta commune in July, 2021.
In his speech he also thanked BDS for its work to transform communities.
